You get Government money, why aren’t your prices cheaper?

Contrary to popular belief, the Port Authority does not receive any money or grants from Federal, Provincial or Municipal Governments. The Port Authority is required to be financially self-sufficient and as such must generate its own revenue to balance annual operating and capital expenses. This is achieved through Harbour Dues, Property Management, Cargo Operations, Moorage, Wharfage, etc

Why do I have to pay at a Government dock?

The marina, which includes the Commercial Inlet Boat Basin, W.E. Mills Landing & Marina are not Government Docks. These are privately owned facilities operated by the Port Authority.

The Port provides on site pay parking for a total of 180 vehicles on the upper and lower parkade levels. Within easy walking distance from our main office are at least 700 other parking stalls.
