Port Connect 2019
As a representative of your company, you are invited to attend the 2nd Annual Port Connect, taking place on November 7th 2019. Jointly hosted by the Port of Nanaimo and the Nanaimo WorkBC Centre, Port Connect brings together key companies and associations from the local Marine Sector. This is an opportunity to showcase your organization to many professionals who are actively pursuing a career in this growing industry.
Port Connect is different than traditional hiring fairs. Rather than focusing on immediate employment and on-the-spot interviews, we emphasize facilitating meaningful connections, with the purpose of forming long-term professional relationships. Port Connect provides attendees and exhibitors the opportunity to make valuable contacts, resulting in an influx of qualified and motivated individuals entering the regional Marine Sector.
As an Exhibitor, we ask that you bring a ‘storyboard’ which will be displayed on a provided easel. This display will highlight your company and its role within the industry. Representing your company, you’ll be interacting with the attendees of Port Connect at your station. You’re encouraged to have brochures and information material available. This is an opportune time to attract new professionals to consider your company for future employment, and to share how your company is making a meaningful contribution to our Marine Sector and the broader community.
